Antara Mondal, Ph.D.
Postdoctoral Researcher
Antara Mondal earned her Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Scottish Church College, University of Calcutta, India, in 2014, followed by a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Pondicherry University, India.
In 2019, she joined the National Institute of Immunology, India, to pursue her doctoral studies under the supervision of Dr. Santiswarup Singha. Her Ph.D. research focused on the optimal design of nano-scale artificial antigen-presenting cells to induce the anti-tumor therapeutic benefits of adoptive T-cell-based therapy in a murine model.
Her research interests have since expanded to understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer development. In 2026, she joined the Verma Lab as a postdoctoral researcher, where she investigates critical molecular and functional defects in stem cells associated with tumorigenesis.
Outside the lab, she enjoys sketching, cooking, and exploring new places.
